Description: Here's my Mother-n-law about to take her first first flight in an experimental. She is an 81 year old IFR pilot but hasn't flown in 17 years. I gave her the plane and she was pure straight and level - amazing. We got trapped on top of a low cloud layer at 4000' and had to dive through a hole. Landing was nipping the tree tops and doing a full stall in our cove. She had a ball. Wants to go again.

Dennis, you<I> both</I> look like you enjoyed it. If instrument flight is like applied mathematics, SeaRey flying is a fine art.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

Congratulations to Mrs. G! How'd she like climbing in and out of the SR Dennis?<br /><br />I wonder if she is the oldest pasenger to fly in a SR?

Don: Yeah, I think I got major son-n-law points. <br />Frank: Mrs G said getting in is a lot easier than getting out. We flew down to a grass strip in York, SC that is near a vegetable stand for strawberries and a fresh strawberry slushy. We are having the Greiss' 60th wedding celebration here this afternoon and I suspect the next flight will come up.

I have flown my 90 year young father in law and 86 year young mother in law in my SR. They loved to splash and dash. Kinda tough to get them out but worth the effort.

They just don't make Senior Citizens like they used to! Congratulations Bill and Dennis and relatives; my new goal is to fly in the SR when I'm 90! Will need a pilot and a hoist however.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

When I had my first demo flight with Kerry back in 2004, he showed me a SR which he claimed was <br />owned and flown by a 90-year old gentleman. Only problem was he had started to forget lowering gear <br />on land landings. Kerry said that would nod do any damage on grass! Upon inspection, the keel was <br />quite worn down, indicating maybe a wheels-up on asphalt...

    I hope I have that problem when I'm 90.

She could probably get you out of trouble Dennis.
