Description: I was due for a flight review and Henry Joyner's seaplane base, NC18 (Rat Landing), was only a SeaRey hour south. He agreed to combine the flight review with a floatplane refresher lesson in his PA-12 Super Cruiser--so off I went.

It was already 90 F when I lit out in the morning, so instead of enjoying the low sky I decided to climb above the fair-weather cumulus clouds. On top at 3000 feet it was only 74.
