Description:
Looks inviting but don't try this one. Lots of floating ice and some are just under the surface waiting to catch the unwary pilot. the wall of ice is actually about 200' high.
Just another boring day in the test area in Alaska.

Looks similar to the glacial lake we just hiked to 2 weeks ago, taking the water taxi out of <br />Homer. I suppose with that many glaciers up in awesome AK it would look similar from <br />the air. (Lucky You !!)

Steve - this is up by Anchorage, AK, about 33 miles from my base airport, Birchwood(PABV). It's a bit of <br />a stretch from Bellingham but certainly doable with proper planning and a sense of adventure. The <br />southeastern coast just north of you does have tide water glaciers but I'm not too familiar with that area.
