Description: It had been blowing 13G25 right across the runway all day, while I worked on my SeaRey and chatted with Lindsay, who had been working on his. We both wanted to go flying, but not in THAT air.

Then at 4:15 the wind suddenly died completely away. The sky was nearly clear and turning cold fast. But sunset wasn't until 4:53 and our dinners were even later, enough so we might not be too terribly late...

We pushed the SeaReys out and took off with the sun almost on the horizon.

The air was perfectly smooth and dense with the chill. We flew west to Lake Chesdin, scoped it out, and set up for landing just as the sun was dropping out of sight.

Approaching over the dam. Attachments:

Some of the best flights I've ever experienced were watching the sun set in silky golden air. It looks like all the elements combined for you and Lindsey, Don. Goodonya.
