Description: After lunch we decided to go
look for some elephants we
had heard rumors off. It's hard
to make out the elephants on
this cell phone picture but I
was afraid if I went lower I
might start a stampede...

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey owns the Elephant Conservation center about 9 mile North of Garner's Landing. It's been a well known land mark for local flyers since it was built in 1995 and I can usually start talking flyers from the North of me headed for one of my fly-ins on the radio about there. Attachments:

Thanks Russ, that explains a lot about what we were seeing. I was amazed at the amount of
infrastructure they have on site. I had only been expecting to see an open field with a few elephants. I
have been flying Central Florida for over 30 years and never knew this facility existed.

Fascinating. Never heard of it. Probably flew over it dozens of times enroute North, totally oblivious. Will look next time. Thanks guys.
