Another sign of spring--an arriving SeaRey, Lindsay Trittipoe's.

On the end of the pier are two examples of local fauna: a female osprey guarding her nest and a female human observing her--or observing the SeaRey. Or peering toward Spain, I can't tell which. Attachments:

A present-day clipper ship came up the channel that same day, heading for the lift bridge. It's about 1.5 miles from the camera.

There may be yellow pollen on everything, but Buzz Island (middle distance, with no trees) has yet to green up. Probably next week. Buzz Island makes a great LVR on glassy-water days.

Buzz Island is so named because there used to be an airport here, W89 (Hopewell). Our house is on the approach end of runway 26. http://www.airfields-freeman.com/VA/Airfields_VA_Richmond_S.
html#hopewell Attachments:

That is lovely stuff, Don (on the river, not on you plane!). Did you play in it? I'd love to scribble in it with a SeaRey on step!
