Description: Now we're living the high life: No leaky roofs. No dirt floors. No slugging doors along tired, old tracks! Just a bit of asphalt out front and we're good to go! We can fly all year long from this base (not sure if that's a benefit up here or not!). The best part is we're permanently at the doorstep of the Georgian Bay region with countless water destinations to choose from. Never a dull moment.

We waisted no time getting settled in. Lots of room for two Seareys plus lots of other stuff. Surprising just how much 'stuff' one can collect in such a short time! By the time we finished the move, we were both too pooped to think about flying, closed the door and went home in the middle of a gorgeous afternoon!      Attachments:

Looks like a great solution Dennis for you and John that solves everything but temperature!<p>A recent visit to a nearby SeaRey owner who will remain nameless suggests you have a long way to go before you're all settled in. He has, in his hanger, two workbenches, compressor, small refrigerator, a sofa with side table, lamp and plants, lounge chairs, jet ski trailer, motorcycle, sports car, and a half dozen RC airplanes. And that's just what I spotted in my first short visit.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

Looks like you guys are getting soft, Dennis. What happened to those cold blooded Canadians of old? (And, congratulations on the new digs.)

What?! A rigid hangar with opaque sides and roof? And an overhead door? You guys are getting soft. Will you have time left over after sweeping the concrete floor and tidying up to go flying?

Concrete floor? I was thinking of going with a nice hardwood!

FWIW Dennis, when I bought my hangar I laid in a wood floor of 1 1/8' plywood underlayment, followed by 4 coats of spar varnish. I've got really bad knees, but I can work in my hangar all days with no problems. <a href="http://seareybuild.blogspot.com/2010/08/first-you-need-place-to-keep-your-stuff.html">http://seareybuild.blogspot.com/2010/08/first-you-need-place<br>-to-keep-your-stuff.html</a>
