Late in the day on the Fourth of July and just after hurricane Arthur had churned its way up the coast, Helen flew in from central Florida in her brand new Searey--the newest in the world (that day).
She landed, taxied up on the beach, and joined our family Fourth of July cookout. Later we all sat on the pier, watching the neighborhood fireworks display, and then she slept for about 9 hours.
The next day she took me for a ride, and I found that this newest of the new Seareys--an S-LSA version of the LSX--is THE most beautiful flying machine. It has newly redesigned ailerons that improve the roll characteristics and make the control harmony as good as it can get on any airplane.
Eventually she had to get on home, and that's where this video recommences. The tide (fresh water) had gone out by then, but she had no trouble getting out into deep water. She let the airplane find the wind, powered up, and was gone.

Great video Don. Helen's has a great looking Searey as well and how lucky we are as a community to have her and her new Searey teaching others to fly. Way to go Helen and will see you at Osh if your going...
