Description:
Today is almost identical to the day this was taken back when I was
healthy and nimble. A curving descending approach down the escarpment
onto the water in the cove out front. Nice memories.

One nifty thing about the SeaRey that many don't anticipate are the tons of memories and stories from having built
and flown one. Just as Dave says, the SeaRey continues to provide enjoyment well after the flying is over.

So true Frank ! I have folks ask me " do you still have your airplane ?"
I started flying in 1956, RCAF and after that, 3 airlines until retirement in Nov
1998. Bought C-FVMU in 1999 from Francois Pickard, and when my mobility
problems made me realize that I wouldn't be able to egress in the event of an
upset, sold her to Steve Parsons in 2011. My log books show just over 33,00
hrs, 570 in VMU, and make me appreciate how lucky I have been. At age 84, I
envy the senior members of this group who are able to continue flying this
wonderful little airplane.
There was (is) an approach into Idlewild.....now JFK, called the ' Canarsie App.'
The pic you posted, somewhat duplicates that curving turn to final and brings
back great memories .Thanks for re-posting.
