I've watched the US/NATO activity with much interest over the last week. We always have some form of surveillance platform, plus supporting tankers in the air, but I rarely can see the fighters on CAP. If your software allows, search for the following designations: NATO; LAGR; FORTE; JAKE; RRR; DUKE; NCHO. If E-3, E-8, KC-135, KC-10 or a few other platforms are up, you'll see them. BTW, FORTE is for Grumman RQ-4, out of Sicily.

interesting, it looks like they re-opened Bitburg for an Air Guard unit for this mission, It was closed as an operating Air Force base around 1994.
