Description:
You see the oddest things, flying over rural areas. Or, you don't--until all of a sudden you do.
This is only a few miles from where we live and maybe half a mile from a nice airfield, VA42. I had just flown south over that field and then turned left--east, toward the river. Something caught my eye in the woods and, well, do you know what it is?

Good guess, Ken. My first thought was that a buncha good ol' boys had been playing soldier. (When I was a kid back in the Dim Ages we just called it "playin' guns"--none of them fancy euphemisms or conspiracies.) Here's another view:
