Description: In exchange for a promise to get video of the company SeaRey out in
the wild, Progressive Aerodyne gave Kerry license for an extended
lunchtime. (As if he needed an excuse!) Kathy and Steve flew down in
their new blue SeaRey to make it a party. And, oh yeah, provide the
photoship. First stop: Kerry's house toget him into proper seaplane
adventure attire. Kathy managed to gethim to and out of the house
without collecting too many seaweeds.

Getting off Lake Arthur got Kathy her favorite kind of SeaRey airboating: a curving step-taxi departure.

One could argue for a more direct route to get to our selected lunch spot, but that's not the SeaRey
way. We diverted to the St. Johns River and Puzzle Lake before heading south.

There is no "going direct" when there is a river to follow.

What's the point to allowing all that water to go untouched? NONE! (If you have the right seaplane.)

My excuse was that I wanted to get a picture of a Rosetta Spoonbill that had settled into a Cypress tree
on the river bank. The bird just couldn't sit still for the photo.

Kerry and Kathy followed to get a picture of the factory ship. All in a day's work for Kerry!

A side effect of the virus shutdown has been an explosion of vegetation at the Lone Cabbage, making
finding a beaching spot more challenging. At least "social distancing" was no problem.

Steve showed off perfecting his advanced parking technique.

(If you're wondering, we did get video. The factory has taken to posting SeaRey videos on Linkedin.
The Lone Cabbage GoPro file hasn't made it there yet. I don't know why.)

One would think I'd had enough flying work after the factory photo mission, but no! There was still
time for a late afternoon solo flight.

The reward for a low-light flight was the cool, smooth air that flowed in from on high as the afternoon
thunderstorms collapsed into evening.

The down side to waiting for the storms to pass is that there just isn't enough time to enjoy-to-excess
the special air before the sun slipped away.

I can't wait to fly with your central Florida group now that my daughter bought land for her future
house on Lake Harris. On second
thought, I won't wait! :-)
