Description:
This is an Amazon fulfillment center south of Richmond, VA. In normal times the parking lots would be chock full--trucks on one side, cars on the other. Yesterday there were plenty of trucks, but not so many workers.
The view is to the north. KRIC is in the center, just below the horizon. Downtown Richmond is to the left, just above the I-295 Varina-Enon bridge. The water is in the James River, with several oxbows and the Dutch Gap cut-off canal built, I think, by the U.S. Corps[e] of Engineers during the Civil War. The James is tidal up to the fall line at Richmond, but the water is fresh almost all the way down to Jamestown Island.
