Miles of palm trees bounded by cypress trees in their red winter garb under cool white-blue skies
over white spotted black water = a seaplane sensory overload.

Miles and miles of unpopulated wildness? Yes! It’s out there. In Florida. Just waiting to be
discovered by SeaRey.

From offshore the coast looks uninviting for SeaRey exploration, but are quick looks deceiving?
Maybe.

Gray skeletons rising from black water may appeal only to horror film aficionados, but what about
those looking for a taste of gentle adventure?

Thick tan roots rise as a wall to discourage closer inspection. Summing courage to risk the bumping
of submerged barriers only requires the dropping of landing gear. It was a smooth taxi onto hard
packed sand (see top photo). What's unseen in the serene photo of a parked SeaRey are tires fixed
by submerged debris. Oh, well, no harm, no damage, and curiosity satisfied.

I wasn’t the only one out in the wilderness. There were gators, snakes, turtles and manatees, and
birds. In checking out the wildlife I startled another amphibious explorer (see video).

Jungle exploration may be too much adventure, and it loses out to flying into the infinite blue.

Upriver and headed back home the river spreads into vast wetlands with lots of opportunities for
SeaRey studies.

But eventually back home a reluctant prodigal son may discover that visual delights don't end at his
doorstep.

Sunset enhances almost any scene, and cloudlets do, too. Reminds me of champagne in a clear glass.
