Description: While exploring my base of operations and waiting for passengers it wasn’t prudent to get too far from the airplane. It could either be floating away or getting dry, depending on the tides. Did I bother to check the tide charts? I figured if the wedding planner didn't, why should I worry.

I had found a beautiful cove to operate from. It was within a five minute boat ride of the yachts, but nicely protected from wind and waves.      Attachments:

Yep, the tide was definitely going out. Time to move to deeper water. Fortunately the silky smooth sand made airboating easy.      Attachments:

When I wasn't waiting I could see blue and white weren’t the only colors to be found in the islands.      Attachments:

The colors were unbelievable, and only the presence of a rain shower on the horizon made it more immediately real.      Attachments:

Even with the crowd of visitors there were still some wild places that weren't overrun.      Attachments:

A natural sand dune made of coral? I don’t think so. Looked like it might be dredge spoils upon closer examination.      Attachments:

Outcrops of rocks were rare on the long-weathered coast, but a few outliers performed as magnets for the Atlantic waves.      Attachments:

Despite the persistent wind blasting 15 to 20 knots, there were plenty of shallow places with protected water if someone had the time and SeaRey to exploit it.      Attachments:

One of my earliest seaplane conversations had me expressing my desire to explore the Bahamas by SeaRey. The grizzled veteran I was talking with quashed the dream by saying, “Been there, done that, and it’s not as good you imagine. There too many rocks.” Now I know he either didn’t look hard enough or was limited by his seaplane imaginings.      Attachments:
