This electric bike actually fits in the baggage area or the seat with ease. 15 mph for up to 10 miles
with a 2 hour
charge rate!

Wayne! I've been eyeing those things over and over again on the Best New Bikes videos on YouTube. How does it ride? And what's it called? How much does it weigh? Where'd you find it?

I have an early GoPed--probably 15 years old--that fits into the baggage compartment and goes 20 mph. But it has friction drive, small, solid rubber tires, and is scary at any speed above about 6 or 8, so I almost never take it along. I've been close to buying an electric A-Bike, but suspect that they might be only barely rideable.

I also have a Goped chain drive and one with friction drive. I bought and electric Segway scooter at Sams club for 299 it will go about
12mph for about 1 hours. It feels way safer than the Goped and half the cost, also no gas smell in the cockpit is nice.

All the info. is at Jupiterbike.com. ,Don. Weight is listed at 24 lbs. (I have not weighed it yet). I am
taking it to Everglades City
tomorrow. The farthest I have gone is 4 miles, so not sure of the total range at top speed. It will do
15 MPH with me ( 191 lbs)
It is very easy to assemble/disassemble . I have a 20 inch folding bike but I can't quite get it in
the Searey. The solid wheels make
for a rougher ride on rough pavement, but smooth as silk on good pavement. So far, so good...The
picture above was my "cross-
country trip" today to Pine Shadows Air Park ...about 12 miles! :-)

Very cool! It's better than the kick-starter videos showed. I'll be waiting for your Everglades City pirep.

My only reservation is about the inability to pedal the thing in states that distinguish between electric-assisted pedaling and straight electric power. (I think Virginia, where I live, is still one of them.) In those states, electric-assist has no restrictions, but electric-power does--is treated as a moped, not a bicycle.

The price for yours is about the same as for an A-Bike, which is electric-assist. But A-Bike has smaller wheels and is a real drag to pedal without the assist, and it lacks a way to go without pedaling. http://a-bike.co.uk/

I have a 16 inch folder that rides nicely. It will fit in the empty passenger seat, but won't fit into Searey bags. But it looks like two of yours will go nicely into bags.

I can see you with one of these zipping around your old checker floor.

I'd be worried about the battery charger which doesn't limit the charge and adjust charging at different battery temperatures. I've
destroyed far too many batteries.
The warning in the user manual states for "paved surfaces only" . Keep out of the battery box but there are spare wheel/battery
assemblies. How do you keep it sealed and clean?

Regardless, I've got to have one as my folding bike doesn't quite fit into the passenger seat without sending the passenger home.

My reaction, too, Lee--including the got to have part.
