Out on the high plains of Central Florida the camouflage is not very effective.

Is that paint or vinyl? There must be an interesting story here (real or conjured).

I know the figure for the color scheme was in the high 20s. I assume its paint. Why do you spend that kind of money on a paint
job. Because you can.

Wow. So paint over instrumentation. Notice all steam gauges.

I bet it was still less than an ICON.

Heck if I know. I just fly 'em. I don't make 'em.

Cool colors! And what a task painting it must have been.

I wish I had a shot of the interior. It's an alligator hide scheme.

Here's a shot of the interior! Pretty wild!      Attachments:

Very cool paint job! What are those round things in the panel?

They're gonna regret that shiny alligator instrument deck cover.

Nickens, Dan - Jun 23,2018   Viewers  | Reply
Maybe. The reflections did not go unnoticed. I'm told that a decision was made to keep the visual effect but to cover it up during flight.

How about a flat black cover with two eyes just protruding the surface?

Nickens, Dan - Jun 23,2018   Viewers  | Reply
A great suggestion, Eric. After these photos were taken a pair of alligator eyes were added to the bow.

Wild is right! It's gorgeous--but doesn't seem to have been designed for a pilot's comfort. (Crew, this photo might provoke useful discussion on STS.)

I am big on P O D s. (Points of Difference). This paint job qualifies! Give us the scoop, Dan!

My poor recollection is that it is associated with "Showcase of Citrus" south of Clermont. Check out the scheme on their monster truck.      Attachments:

    I LIKE it!!

Very pretty! I hope it's vinyl. Presuming so, interested in who did it because I want to pick their brain.

Comfortably tour the 2,500 acre working Citrus & Cattle Ranch Estate from 12 feet up in one of three GIANT trucks for approximately
an hour. These highly modified trucks are MASSIVE and geared low to provide a safe and relaxing ride through Native Woodland,

I guess the tour can be higher than 12 feet now. :-)

That is sooo cool. This plane will turn every head on the ramp when taxiing in. We all need our toys!
