Ugh. I'm on the verge of throwing up, myself, just from thinking about it. I live 13 miles from the RIC reports and can attest to the wind here today.
The RIC UA reports of "WV +/- 20" made me curious about what wind is needed for a UUA (urgent). The linked page says:
"5. Low level wind shear. Classify LLWS PIREPs as UUA if the pilot reports air speed fluctuations of 10 knots or more. Classify reports of LLWS with air speed fluctuations less than 10 knots as routine. If air speed fluctuation is not reported, classify PIREP as UUA."
So I guess they didn't say LLWS.

No snow in Canada where my son is, and never any in Bermuda (the girls would freeze in their bikinis!)
