Description: During my later teen years I had the pleasure of living next door to Earl Anderson, who designed the Anderson Kingfisher, one of the first homebuilt amphibians. He kept his original Kingfisher on Little Sebago Lake, Maine, within a short walk of my house. He did give me a couple rides in it. The hull design is similar to the earlier Volmer Sportsman (wood, plywood and fiberglass) but could use Piper Cub or Champ wings to speed up construction, or homebuilt wings. This is the plane that got me excited about building an amphibian. At approx. age 15 I took this pic of it and wish I had taken more.
