Description:
This is an Amazon fulfillment center, in a wooded area southeast of Richmond, Virginia, and close to the James River and I-295, and about 6 or 7 nautical miles from our house. When it opened a couple of years ago it changed the traffic patterns all around the area. And it changed the experience of online shopping, too. If Amazon happens to have in this building whatever smallish thing you buy, it will come the next day. If you're lucky and buy before mid-morning, it's likely to arrive late the same afternoon.
I'm waiting for drone deliveries.

So Amazon has had a profound effect on the traffic in the area--and will have a more profound effect when drone delivery begins. It's next door neighbor in those same woods, however, is keeping a very low profile. Lockheed-Martin is reclusive by comparison.

There's only one road in, and at the entrance only a modest sign.
What do they do in there? I have no idea. (They probably like it that way.)
