Today's wet WX grounded me, so I did the next best thing, finished up and post this video of the start of my Memorial Day home
from NC to Md by way of Don at TAJ. This is the leg down the Beaufort Bogue beach and around Cape lookout Lighthouse in NC.
After the flight flew up to Norfolk ship yard to have a look at the carrier, then up th James River to see Don Maxwell at the TAJ. I am
still pulling that video together. I a trying to cut 30+ minute down to @5 minute.

Sweet video. Your GoPro skills make me look like a cave man.

Awesome video Robert. As Dennis says, me too cave man.

I have a number of questions. Obviously you have multiple GoPro cameras, but what is the moving map software you used to display
to track your flight? And does GoPro Studio provide the multiple views? Did you speed it up 400% or more? And how do you avoid
all the Restricted Areas I recall from the NC sea shore area from years ago?

This is quite a video, this must be your prime business or hobby??? Other than flying.

I run two GoPros (1 on each wing) and one NFlight GPS enabled Contour II (mounted on the canopy top bar). The GPS track is
captured from the Contour's StoryTeller editing/display software. As to software, the GoPro Studio is a basic video editing package of
limited capability. I use Apple Final Cut Pro X to build all my videos. It allows me to synch multiple frames, resize & crop, retime
(faster or slower) and drop in my commentary. As to my video skills, I am Cybersecurity expert which requires me to continually
refresh my IT skills. Last year, I elected to learn everything about digital video technology, so I naturally chose to video my flying.

As to flying around the Cherry Point MCAS MOAs and restricted areas, I have navigated that nest of areas a number of times. I have
found calling the local military ATC facility is the secret. As former C-5 and C-130 pilot, I know that these areas are hot only about
50% of the time on weekdays only, and that milt pilots flying in them are more afraid of hitting some slow moving GA small airplane.
I simply radio the controlling Milt ATC to secure a squawk and politely/professionally ask if it would be ok to.... 9 times out 10 the
controller will say ok. I should note that my sister's cottage sits right under the final approach fix for Cherry Point 32R. I know this,
since I regarly flew that apch as USAF Res C-5 pilot. USMC choppers regularly fly down the beach at 100ft on what locals call ""the
Bikini Run"". I did have a concern on this flight of encountering a kite surfer riding down the line of waves.

Here are series of pictures of where I and others have mounted video cameras.
Not shown is my wing tip mount where I have installed a slightly longer bolt for the Trailing Edge Wing Cuff bolt.

Thanks for the ideas. I led the Nuclear Cyber Security project for Duke Energy - Nuclear for several months but I still can't do squat with my GoPro. My computer locks up when I try to edit. Could it be that my 12 year old desk top is too old??

That post Dennis would not seem to qualify you for 'Cave Man' status. Unless the Duke you worked for was in the 1400's.

    Nope. That was 2010.

Video editing demands lots of RAM, fast processor, and a good video card; an upgrade maybe in order.

Yep, there goes my electric gear money.
