Description: The Clarksville splash-in was very nice this year. The lake (and attendance) was lower and cleaner than last year, and there was plenty of room on the beach. The weather was perfect: warm and clear.

Here's a brief video of arriving and following the two floatplanes east to Lake Gaston: http://youtu.be/LaAZON5GVFY

Where was ET and his Seabee? I thought he was one of the hosts.

Dennis, ET's Seabee was down for repairs. He had planned to fly in to the airport in a landplane, but evidently wasn't able to do that.

There was room on the beach for another two Seareys (given ""Garner's"" parking) and several floatplanes at docks. We encouraged the Clarksville seaplane wrangler to find more beach space, and Bill Fosdick got him thinking about refurbishing a ramp that would enable amphibs to taxi right up into a street--so maybe there'll be more room in future splash-ins. The wrangler also bought us all lunch.

Part 2 of the video shows Bill and Steve Harris (Maule) landing at Steve's place on Lake Gaston, very close to the location of the fall splash-in at ""The Club."" (I don't remember the name of the place.) There's a lot more seaplane space there.
