It's still winter here in New Hampshire. I thought the Southern SeaRey flyers might enjoy seeing an ice runway. Here is a video of Chuck Lewis and me flying my SeaRey to the Alton Bay.      Attachments:

Looks cold! Down wind on ice - that's grit.

Are those ice fishing huts you were flying by Al?

Good video Al. Besides Russ' question above, I gather the motorcycle races were being held on a lake? Haven't seen an
ice runway in Southern Florida yet!

Nice job Al - Alton Bay (iced) is on my bucket list. Frank, your governor has banned the word ""ice"" so lets just call it a hardened water runway.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
Dennis, I did not actually touchdown. It was more a downwind fly by a foot off the ice.
Russ, yes those small buildings are fishing huts, but most ice fishermen I know do a fair amount of drinking in those huts. I guess you catch bigger fish that way.
Frank, yes they plow the snow off the lake making a few different course designs. The racers take dirt bikes and stud the tires and race on ice. You have got to find ways to have fun outside even when it is freezing.

Great video, looked like a great day to be out flying. How come you didn't touch down? Looked like a good party down there
