Glad you liked it... The title came to my head after a brief
conversation with the guys that fly the ""Flying Fortress"".
They were on our ramp as I was putting fuel and we got to talking
and we were talking about the Florida Keys being my
playground,how much fun it was to be a ""barefoot pilot,"" That i have
the keys
as
my playground...
Since I knew I was going to be landing at Gilbert's I actually took
off my sneakers so they didn't get wet right before I started taxiing
out.
When I got to Gilbert's while having one of their award-winning
famous
burgers with a friend for lunch. She made a comment about it being
Friday
and we were at Gilbert's having lunch.
The rest came together on
the way back home...

Luis, a lot of my Searey time is barefoot. I hadn't planned on that while building the airplane--but discovered later that directing the heater output onto my feet was a great idea. It extends the Mid-Atlantic barefoot season by several months.

Yes it is,Dan. you should come down one weekend and play in this
playground. I know you're not scared of a little salt...
Although I do know you've been fortunate enough to play in other
playground that most have not been able to...
It has never gotten old for me.
New places and things always pop up its crazy how that happens
being that I've been going down there my whole life and I actually
did live down in Key Largo for 3 years.(once upon a time)...
