Hi Don;

After a few flights with the Jabiru I found that the prop is under torque, I was at 3500 RPM and should be 3300RPM max. Called Sensenich and they are going to re-engineer a new prop for me with a new pitch and length, may be about ten weeks before they can get to it because of a big back-log with the order from the Army.

    Congratulations, Jerry, on your first flights. May there be many happy returns to the air.

    Jerry, you started a thread about your Jabiru installation, including a picture, in the STS site. We have been wondering why you haven't returned to that thread with updates on your progress. We've been looking forward to hearing about it. Besides, anything technical in nature probably should be placed over there anyway.

Btw, congrats on your first flights.

    Update;

Sensenich is going to send me a new prop with a 52pitch. The other problem was the radio, total
wipe out at high RPM. ran some test today and found if I put the antenna on the nose, I got a clear report on a radio check, so tomorrow I’ll install it on the nose.

Frank-I still want to put 15 to 20 hr's on her plus get some water time with Fred before I get her wet. Maybe 10 plus weeks before they can get to my prop but they're not going to charge me for it. They seem to be good people to deal with.

    When you get all the bugs ironed out Jerry, I can meet you in Blaine and we can do all the water work in the north west without having to do the nuisance border crossing nonsense. The ice should be coming out of the lower mountain lakes in the next couple of weeks.

    Thanks Fred, I'm looking forward to seeing you. It was nice to see you at the aviation show.
