Any of you Florida boys know anything about the Sweet Dreams Inn on Lake Parker? Site of the splash inn this year. It's a converted Holiday Inn but I don't want to make reservations with that limited amount of knowledge.

I'm no Florida boy, but I stayed in this hotel last year for S&F / Garners. It's a bit of a dump, but it has free WiFi that works. I just reserved a room for the entire week (4/14 - 4/21) for only $250! I think I got the welfare tenant rate. Call them 1-888-75-SWEET, don't use on-line booking for the best price. Don't mind the full time residents. Join the party! Park and lock it.

Even if you're miserable there, Dennis, you'll have plenty of company besides Eric. I know of several other miserable guys who also have reservations there. And I do, too.

I'd like an idea of how safe an unattended SeaRey would be on their beach, especially at night. Their website claims '24 Hr on-site Security'--doesn't mention misery or Eric's dump, though. I don't recall whether the lakeshore is visible from the road just there, but it's a main road. Eric didn't seem too confident about it, a few weeks ago.

Two of these three reviews scared me off. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g34373-d597987-Revie
ws-Sweet_Dreams_Inn-Lakeland_Florida.html
If I were coming by myself I'd probably stay there anyway but I'm driving down with the instructor who taught me to fly and he isn't a sea plane addict. I booked at the Best Western in Lakeland from the 17th through the 21st. I hear they have real sausage and eggs for breakfast.
I hope to meet a lot of you guys first hand.

Dennis, the third review was great! Of course he was comparing it to living in a cardboard box (with Wifi). OK Don, you have the midnight to 4:00 AM watch. I'll take 8:00 AM to noon. Can anybody local supply the firearms as Continental seems to frown on putting them in the overhead compartment?
