It's getting to be a last minute Gaggle but I have blocked off Sept 8-11 in my schedule and am looking to play with our Canadian neighbors. So who't interested and where should we meet?

Kevin, I have left the organizing ball in Dave Edward's court because the fall colours in the Picton/1000 Islands area are a nice contrast to Georgian Bay and easier to reach for SeaReys southeast of the Great Lakes. I will certainly attend in between helping get Rudy Wolf's SeaRey ready for flight!

Euclid Benoit's SeaRey had its first flight yesterday (will need to fly off 25 hours) and Dave Lima should have his repairs finished and flying in a week or so. Dennis Vogan can have his arm bent too. I'm not sure about Lee Coulman. We may have to throw some stones at him to get him in the air!
Bill Watkin still has 25 hours to complete but we could certainly do some flying with him in Peterborough.. Then there is Frank Noordhuis, another 25 hour foot dragger!
Perhaps we could all meet Bruno on Lake Ontario!

Oh, yeah, I'm sure Larry will bring his A-24..

    He John!
I'm not on Ontario Lake but Lake Theodore Val Morin (Quebec, Laurentides)
N45 57.504
W74 15.217
And The colors here at the fall are so....so....more beautiful than the rest of the world (I don't push it too much)
He he he
By the way, Dennis just left this morning from a real nice week-end with him here
John, we hope that you can make it next time
Bruno and France

Hey Bruno! Dennis told me what you did to him last night!
I think I might be in trouble if I come up there!

OK John...we just finalized our trip to France a few minutes ago. Here's whats happening:
Retired Airline Pilot Convention here in Kingston....22 Sept thru 26th Sept
The 27th thru till Oct 1st is open
Oct 2nd we depart for Paris....2 days there then the TGV to Toulouse and pick up the barge to cruise the Midi Canal for a week followed by a drive up the Riveria ( maybe to Paris ) or TGV to Paris...home here 19th of Oct.
22nd Oct till 27th....open then
30th Oct, we set out for Baja till Christmas.

Some thoughts about the autumn folliage :
Because of all the rain this summer,we suspect that the trees will not start changing till much later than usual...soo....late Sept might be the earliest and late Oct just might catch some fine colours.....it depends on the rainfall in the next 30 days.

We would welcome as many as we can sleep....3 double beds available....2 singles and 3 couches, plus 3 mattress' in the downstairs family room.
There are plenty of hotel/motel rooms in town...plus B&B galore.

Bruno Mon Vieux......you are almost correct....with the exception of the Thousand Island area...you have great autumn folliage in the Laurentiens and the ice is just starting to form on the lakes. Heh! Heh!

Charlie, are you going to the seaplane fly-in at Greenville, and if so which days are you planning on being there?

I'm planning on it but not sure what days yet. Also not sure if I'll be at the seaplane ramp or up at the airport yet.

Charles Pickett - Aug 25,2008 Viewers | Reply
Mark >> I plan on getting there late on the 2nd or early on the 3rd and will be on the airport
I plan on leaving Sunday heading to Dave Lima's and or the Gaggle
Cell 401 639 0120

Ok Charlie, right now I'm planning on flying up to the airport Friday afternoon, I may tent overnight and fly out Saturday. The seaplane ramp has progressively gotten more crowded over the years; I almost didn't have room there last year when I got there on Friday. Besides, they want amphibs to go to the airport if not participating in an event anyway, which I don't. (Some year I'm gonna do the bomb drop, but not this year).

Have I met you there before? I believe I have.

My cell phone is 207-299-7348.

I guess I can't make yours Dave E. as the week of Sept 8th is the only time I have. I am traveling in the 210 starting this Saturday but planned on playing in the water on the following week.
Hey Charlie - maybe we can have a Gaggle at Dave'Lima's house before the Homecomeing - we could always sleep in the Basketball court

Charles Pickett - Aug 26,2008 Viewers | Reply
Sounds good to me. Just let me know a place and dates and I will add it to me GPS

Dave Lima - Aug 26,2008 Viewers | Reply
Sure, come up for a couple of days, we can get Dunlop, Vogan, Coulman, Woods, Myself and maybe even Bruno! Charlie will be stopping in as well, I'm trying to line up some chicks for him, all I have to do is open up the big door and yell BINGO and they'll come a runnin, too bad Gracy isn't around, he could pick up the leftovers.

Charles Pickett - Aug 26,2008 Viewers | Reply

Mark Alan MacKinnon - Aug 26,2008 Viewers | Reply
If you guys are gonna make a new habit of a fall gaggle, I might join in next year after the Greenville fly-in. I even got a new passport (which I think is now required for anyone re-entering the U.S. from Canada). Too late this year to make vacation plans, though.

Don Maxwell - Aug 26,2008 Viewers | Reply
All you need now, Mark, is a new ICAO-friendly pilot's license that says you speak English.

Mark Alan MacKinnon - Aug 26,2008 Viewers | Reply
Thanks Don, hard to keep up with all these changes.

Bret Smith - Aug 26,2008 Viewers | Reply
You guys are pissing me off!

Agent Pickett: You are directed to photographically document all covert and pervert activities and report to the field office in Tennesse ASAP. You will be debriefed and redeployed from there...

-Headquarters
