I've added a couple of videos from the 2008 Georgian Bay SeaRey Gaggle to YouTube. They're not the most electrifying of videos, and they're not new, but at least they have SeaReys in them. The HQ button works in both.

SeaReys Through the Hole In the Wall
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18lAL--8Ctk

Bone Island SeaRey Picnic & Departure
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0pPP97an_A

    Hi Don:

Great videos. They provide excellent motivation as I work away at the new A-24. I enjoy working on it while the weather is still fairly cool, but when summer returns to Georgian Bay, I sure want to be up there with the rest of you. (g)

Best,
Larry

Did you know that GoogleEarth can place a YouTube icon on the map in the location where a video was shot?

I discovered this by accident--by surprise!--recently when I was looking at a certain spot in the James River and noticed a YouTube icon there. Clicked on it and was astonished to find that it was one of my own videos! How it got there is a mystery, because I didn't do it. But now I've found that it's easy to do in YouTube--just 'edit' your video and a Google Earth map will appear, with a marker that you can move to the right spot. (It takes a day or two for the icon to appear in Google Earth.)

To see the icons, you may have to turn them on. In the Google Earth sidebar, find Layers > Gallery > YouTube, and check the box.

Next is to figure out how to go the other direction, from a YouTube video to Google Earth. For these two videos, you can search in Google Earth for 'hockey stick harbour, georgian bay' and 'hole in the wall, parry sound, canada'.

The Google Earth version of the videos may be slightly lower-res than in YouTube, but if you click on the thumbnail image it will take you to YouTube.

Nice scenery, I noticed the upside down dead bug in the second one. Could be the gas fumes in the cockpit.

That bug is an old friend. I think it's still there.

Maybe we should start a log book for him.
