First Landings Aviation of Orlando Apopka Airport. is planning a flight to Key West.<br /><br /> We’re heading south! Our next “Adventure Flight” will be to Key West August 12-14th. Send <br />us an email or give us a call if you’d be interesting in joining us on the trip. Our plan is to <br />rent several hotel rooms and get as many planes together as possible. Our Remos and <br />PiperSport will be heading down and others are invited to join, so if you’re interested in <br />riding along or would like to join in your own aircraft, drop us a line. I am on my way from Tuscaloosa/AL to Florida. I am stranded for the night in KEUF due to thunderstorms south of here. They have a very nice FBO, friendly folks and two big but friendly dogs. (Neufundlander)<br />If I am in time in Florida I would be very interested to join this key west event.<br />I will tell you more in two days from now...

this is from first landings aviation:<br />Troy,<br /> We’re leaving from X04 (Orlando-Apopka) at 7am on Friday the 12th, we’re planning the <br />route of flight Wednesday night with the students and pilots going on the trip but it’ll <br />probably be X04 to Avon Park to AirGlades to either Tamiami or Homestead, then down <br />the Keys. We’ll be staying 2 nights (returning on the 14th), we booked at the Chelsea <br />House but they may be full by now, it’s a busy time I guess due to lobster season. We’d <br />be happy to have you guys join us. If it’s more convenient for the SeaReys to meet at <br />Tamiami we can probably work that into the trip.<br />>

Looks like our stop will be X51 (Homestead <br />General), since the two Sport Pilots in the PiperSport aren’t too familiar with towered <br />airports. We’re planning on departing at 7:30am from X04, arriving to Homestead around <br />9:30 or 10am (assuming it isn’t foggy like it was this morning, and there aren’t too many <br />storms to dodge).
