Hi guys, for those of youll in the nc, sc or virginia area, do you know if Jordan lake, which is just outside of Apex NC is
seaplane friendly? We are about to reserve campsites for memorial day weekend and possibly get nice waterfront sites for
any seaplane visitors.
Thanks

John, Jordan Lake is not listed by name in the SPA's Water Landing Directory. But there's this:

'Agency Regulations:
'Agency: North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation
'Phone: 919/733-4181
'Policies: Seaplane landings prohibited on bodies of water within state parks.'

But Lake Jordan is not entirely within the state park, so it might not apply.

You might contact Ed Tello, SPA's field director for NC:

Ed 'ET' Tello
8291 Clipper Court
Long Island, NC 28609
(704) 491-3152
etseabee@yahoo.com

Thanks Russ. We love it here. As far as plans for flying i am hoping to eventually partner with someone on
an older searey or hopefully buy am older one outright. The job economy is so much better here and we
arelooking forward to trying to buy a house on some property within a year or two. Hopefully a grass strip
would be a nice addition.

Welcome to NC, John. I'm a couple hours west of you on Lake Norman. Fly down to the Pic-n-Pig at 5NC3 and get yourself some really good Memphis style BBQ. It's a really short flight for you. About two hours for me but worth it.

Thanks Dennis. Unfortunately no plane right now. But i will def check out the bbq. However we will be
visiting the charlotte area soon since we are good friends with tony gugliazza and his wife cheryl. We will
have to plan a get together soon.
