Last year, 1,519 new single-engine piston airplanes were sold in the U.S., an 11.2 percent jump over the year before according to the General Aviation Manufacturer's Association (GAMA)

The REALLY GOOD NEWS is that was over 83 percent of the new single-engine piston airplanes sold worldwide.

Thank God I live in the US of A!!
You're right, Frank--but if you push that 'Republic' argument too far, you'll be giving your credit card number instead of your N-number when you phone WX-BRIEF.

    Right, Frank, no free lunch--not for us ordinary citizens, anyway. But the great irony of Virginia's most-hated personal property tax--the car tax--is that the Republican Jim Gilmore got hissself elected governor by promising to do away with it. Unfortunately, he kept his promise but didn't find a replacement income source, so the Commonwealth promptly (and predictably) went broke.
But using emotionally-loaded terms such as "Republic" and "Socialist" confuses any issue because republic refers to a form of government and socialist, to an economic system. They make something complicated seem simple--and vice versa.
It's sort of like comparing SeaReys and mortgage rates.<!-- >'">
' or > missing in user HTML. Yeah, well, we could say something about the President and NOT flying, but let's NOT go there!

    Guys guys guys!

This thread was started about flying and rejoicing that we live in a land with more opportunity to fly than any other land on the face of this planet. Something to be truly thankful for.

It is about FLYING, not politics.....or.....poly-tics
Poly = Many
Tics = Blood sucking parasites
