Seaplane pilots lost a fine artist last month. On February 28, 2004 Toni Onley died in his Lake Buccaneer landing on Fraser River. His work will long survive Mr. Onley. His web site is at www.tonionley.com

Toni Onley was also very active in keeping places open for water pilots when Parks boards etc try to close them. He will also be sadly missed as a spokesman for the Seaplane fraternity.

Dan, do you have any details of his accident? What could have gone wrong?

No details yet, just a whole load of speculation. Plane was seen climbing away from a touch and go and then falling into the river. Sorry, don't know reg or anything.

I heard a rumour about power lines from a RAA member.

Chris Vernon-Jarvis - Mar 18,2004 Viewers | Reply
    So far just speculation.

    Chris
I looked this up in the Transport Canada Candors system, no reason was given but it will be updated shortly. I will monitor it.
