HEY GANG, what would be he possibilities of a SeaRey fly-n and reunion next summer about june. Maybe at Chattanooga Tennessee. Great water access, fantastic tourist attractions abound. Let me know how you feel and your thought about such a gathering.

Charlie, just start the ball rolling. That would give the perfect excuse to make my first trek in SeaRey back home. What facilities do you have in mind???

Charlie Huskey - Jul 15,2004   Viewers  | Reply
Bret, there are several facilities on lake Chickamauga that could host such a gathering. Also several small airports and private strips. Those that preferred not to fly in could also drive in. Lots of campgrounds also.

Charlie, Carole and I will be there if we don't have to pronounce the name of the lake....

Hey Charlie,<br />We are planning a HUGE Georgian Bay Gaggle for next summer, probably right after Oshkosh. Let me know when you are planning your fly-in so we don't steal your thunder!

Count me in, Charlie. I'll bring a banjo for Frank's entertainment.

Sounds good to me Charlie if I am not working! Keep us posted if it develops. Camping lakeside sounds best! Find a lake that has a public strip near by if the weather gets breezy.

Harrison Bay State Park with campground, marina, and restaurant. Fine beaches to park planes on in a protected cove. Look at Tennessee State Parks and campgrounds to check it out. If we could get enough interest to do this I certainly would need some help to pull it off. Bret, would you keep a list of those that are showing interest. Is there some way we could keep a permanent post on this site to see what interest will be shown?

Bret, add me to the list. Mine should be flying this fall and a foray to Tenn would be in order to check its high-altitude handling.

Count me in for a Tenne-searey gathering in June 05; and I certainly will be eager for a repeat GB gaggle if it's soon after OSH, like last year.

Bret, I'd love to come. Will have to see how it goes though as far as scheduling with the big boss.

BRET, looks like we may have some interest in such a fly-n. How about everyone leting Bret know if you will be flying in, coming by vehicle, need camp site or motel.

I know many will not believe this (....I haven't made it to ANY function so far ), but I'm putting THIS ONE on my calendar and will make an attempt, weather permitting, of course....

Right now the best place I can think of and have knowledge of is Harrison Bay State Park just north of Chattanooga on Chickamauga Lake. Wife and I have been to this campground several times, BUT I will go there next week to talk with park Ranger/manager. Coast Guard also has a post there. I do know that there is a large bay that is well protected from winds of any direction, has sand beeches and grassy banks that are near campsites. Anyone interested can find it on internet.

I, too, will be interested in the Fly-n. My plane will be on display at Oshkosh this year. The factory &amp; Jim Ratte are trailering it up there. It will be ready to fly by the fall. So I will have plenty of experience by then. Great idea. Thanks.
