Will be flying N204PB this Sunday from West Palm Beach, FL direct to Madison, Indiana, near Louisville KY. Probably will overnight in Blairsville, GA. Someone posted here recently about their new place in Tennessee, though I think that was in the western part of the state. Anyone close to my route?

John, just looked at the map and it appears that you will be flying over my location. If you arre afraid of the short 750 field I could meet you at Jamestown airport which is 10 mile west of here. Will be glad to be of help to you in any way possible. Tennessee is expecting 40 % chance of thunder storms sunday evening. PH # 1-423-965-3086
Charlie:
Yes, I will be passing very close to you. Direct route goes over Robbins, about 12 mi East of you. due to winds, I have changed fuel stop from Blairsville to Gainesville, GA. Could stop and say hello Sunday approx 4:30, then find a place in Jamestown to spend the night, or could stay in Gainesville and drop by Monday AM. Any recommendations for places in Jamestown?

750 ft runway is not an issue if no obstructions. I will be at about 1400lbs over your place, so will be a bit heavy.

John, If you would like to stay here at my place you are more than welcome. Have a nicely set up mobile home that you are welcome to use. If by chance that we get weathered in tomorrow evening and you can make it to Sweetwater, which you will pass before you get here, you are welcome to stay there overnight. There is a pilots lounge there, airconditioned, shower house and drinks in cooler. It is 4 miles south of Sweetwater on east side of HWY 11 near a BIG car junk yard, you can`t miss it. NOW is you make it here to Deer Lodge, make a couple passes to size up my runways and if you don`t like them I will pick you up at Jamestown. I have a hand held and usually monitor 122.75. Look forward to your visit. Give me a call when you leave Gainsville. Any perdiction on how much fuel you may need when you arrive here?

    Thanks Charlie.
The mobile home would work out great. My daughter is traveling with me, so would need 2 beds, though a couch would do as well. I expect to be down about 7 gallons from Gainesville. Looks like I can get that at Jamestown on my way out the next morning.

GREAT JOHN, we just happen to have two bedrooms. How old is your daughter? John don`t hesitate to stop at Sweetwater if the Plateau is weathered in. Just talked with my friend that is owner of West Wind and he will be there tomorrow evening so you will have transportation if needed. Fuel at Jamestown will work and we will go for breakfast while there. If you should leave your plane there tomorrow we will park it in a hanger. I have a hanger here but it does not have doors YET. Have tie down anchors also. May be a wild ride tomorrow SO saddle up, tighten up and enjoy your trip. Look forward to meeting you and daughter.

Fantastic! I will call you this evening.
I found Sweetwater Apt... looks like it is called Madisonville (MNV). Is the weather pattern typically much different in Sweetwater than at your place?

The airport at Madisonville is several miles from West WInd which is not on a map. It`s a private grass strip with several hangers there. Look on map at Hwy 11 and county road 323. The elevation at Sweetwater is 1000 ft and here on the Plateau at my place is 1650 ft. The winds in evening at Sweetwater seem to subside earlier than here on Plateau. We have a front that came through this evening and will be east of us tomorrow but they are still expecting scattered thunderstorms tomorrow.

GOOOOOOOOD MORNING, John and his daughter Kelley got here yesterday evening. We were up till nearly midnight talking SeaRey. It was really a great visit. They will be going on this morning to Louisville. Wife and I fed them well last evening and they are still fast asleep. I`m sure John is worn out from the ride, they had strong headwinds coming north, will be a much better flight this morning.
