A SeaRey with all aluminum wings? Hmm. I don’t think so. The article that appears in the October issue of Private Pilot says so though. Other than a bit of understandable exuberance from the flying experience, “Sparky” Barnes wrote a good article.

The article indicates that 350 kits have been sold around the world. Mexico, Chile, France, New Zealand, and China all get some recognition as SeaRey receipients. According to the story, the amphibian is “certified” in Australia and qualifies as an “advanced ultralight airplane” in Canada. About 250 are said to be flying somewhere.

The pictures and flying were all associated with Russ and Lou Ann’s fly in. Check it out.

Parts! Can you say $40 for a rubber gear leg boot? The C hull conversions alone could put a few kids through college. Of course its necessary... fall semester is starting up. Then there's us happy A and B hull pilots who don't tow the line on the PA gravy train

912 UL rules baby!

My theory: don't ever expose yourself to good beer, great coffee, perfect women, or excellent airplanes. You'll forever then be longing what you don't have...

Hey Dan. Searey as a AULA in Canada..LoL. From my experiences it would be more easy to squeeze a camel though the eye of a needle than make a Searey a AULA.

I knew you'd appreciate that bit of information, Frank. I suppose you can't believe everything that's written, eh? Still, I'd like to see that all aluminum wing...
