Well Georgian Gaggle 2005 is now a very pleasant memory. I would now like to begin planning 'GEORGIAN GAGGLE 2006'. With at least four northern SeaReys missing this year's get-together because of late completion or delayed CofA, it would be a shame to make them wait for another two years.

Those who have attended past Gaggles and/or want to attend the next one can help me with a number of issues such as dates and location. For example:

Some have suggested that a Georgian Gaggle held at least a week after Oshkosh would make it much easier to attend than running the two back to back. What do you think?

Seeing a large houseboat parked at Bone Island brought visions of mooring around a houseboat base in some remote bay. When we reconsidered the logistics, the houseboats became a remote lodge without the requirement of trucking people and fuel to and from an airport and restaurants.
A couple of participants will search for ways of fulfilling these dreams but as it stands right now, Midland is situated at the extreme limit for me (and others) to be able to supply ground transport from the Toronto area. Your ideas in this area would be most helpful.

I had hoped to get a number of different amphibious seaplanes to Georgian Gaggle 2005. We got Mike’s Seabee and this provided some seats for those with clipped wings.
Are you happy to see other types attend?

Please let me know in this thread or by email, anything that you especially liked, did not like, or new ideas that would enhance future Gaggles..
Hi John...Lynn and I are looking fwd to GBG ' 06. Regarding your questions:
CYEE is an ideal location because of logistics. I love the house boat idea, and as you know, our son Greg has picked out some ideal mooring spots on the islands around Franklin Island. Had Lynn & I flown there this past week, we would have been wx'd in for at least 2 days....so...I vote for Midland or another suitable land base in the area in case of high winds etc.
Should enough people show interest, a rental car/ van for the fuel etc., could be shared by the participants.
As much as I enjoyed the Lushs' , I personally would like a SeaRey only group as we all fly at the same speed ( once I get my pitot/static system fine tuned ), and we all basically have the same water limitations.....and we all talk PA-SReese.
Even without VMU this year, once again , you provided a great place for a great bunch to get together.....Many Thanks to you and Brittney. Doug was smiling down on us from the big hangar in the sky.

Sign us up for '06, John. Having the gaggle right after OSH should help attract more SeaReys (yeah, I know, this was an off year for SeaReys at OSH too). I'll start searching for a barge to load Ann's RV on so we can keep up with the houseboaters.

Sign me up. I have access to a couple utility boats in the Honey Harbor area along with some cottage friends that would allow fuel storage. I will ask around to see I can find a friendly cottager that will fit the gaggle on a shoreline for a week. The utility boat could allow ferrying to Honey Harbor area for RVing or hotels.
