Just a reminder...

From Charlie Husky:

'Bret, just talked today with the owner of T Top airfield in Eagleville, he was very receptive to the idea of the SeaRey’s being there. It is a three day affair with camping, lots of planes of all types and GREAT EATS. There is a 2500 ft grass excellent airstrip. He has a web site:'

http://www.cedarhouseweb.com/dotnetnuke/PhotoGallery/tabid/1
54/Default.aspx

'The dates for their fly-in are Oct 1-3rd but we are welcome to come earlier and stay later if desired. The airstrip is 7 miles from a state park with restaurants and lodging if needed for anyone. Transportation can also be provided if needed. They serve Saturday morning breakfast, evening meal and Sunday morn breakfast. This is Ken and Gail Franks contribution to the flying public and is freeeeeeee of charge. Will have more details later.'

Charlie has been attending this gathering for years and the organizers have extended a warm welcome to us SeaRey folk. They will reserve us an area together and will help with any other accommodations we need. Charlie will be there with his Six Chuter. I don't know if I can make it down there this year from Rhode Island but next year I will be living in the area. If any SeaReyers want to set a precedent for us gathering at this event then let us know. Charlie will get things ready for ya'll.

Bret, this may be in the window for Darrell and I (may be a touch early though.) I know Darrell will be heading south with the Sting and he has asked me to bring his SeaRey down to Florida.

    Charlie and Bret,

I gota be honest and tell ya, woodsy camping-lodging next to a lake was much more appealing to me. What about Pickwick? Sounds like they have plenty of shoreline and a nice lodge you can reserve online? It would be great to look out your window and see your searey on the beach.

www.state.tn.us/environment/ parks/parks/PickwickLanding

Charlie, John snd Darrell may be heading through the area during that time. Any chance guys?

Robert, thanks for the input. I'll be living down there starting next June and I know Charlie and I will put together something good for 2006.
