Google has produced a new tool that blows away every other map I've seen.
I particularly like the Satelite product. The lowest end product is free and that's what I'm
using.

Go to earth.google.com and click on 'downloads', 'google earth' and put the API (the executable) on your desktop. Then try it in satelite mode.

Yep, been using Google Earth for a while now. Great to check out the dimensions of a lake BEFORE you try landing in it...

I like terraserver.microsoft.com better. Doesn't require a big download and installation. Just go to the web site. Specify a location and then pan and zoom and switch between aerial photo and topographic map.

It's engineering v. art, Jeff. Both are useful ways to see the world.

Terry, get off the computer and get in the garage, Mary said you were going to work on your plane for a change. I found two other Searey owners in our area or I should say they found me, they are near Mt. Pleasant.

I just looked at Garner's Landing. There is a Searey in the yard and one on the beach!
We were probably doing maintainence or having Lou's spaghetti.

Isn't THAT cool! It wouldn't let me get below 166 feet, so I couldn't see the spaghetti..
