Over the past two days, Splash-n-Dash has crashed into “bandwidth allotment” limitations. According to MyFamily, the daily size of downloads is limited. Because of some great video, we have hit the allotment wall.

Here is what the site owners have to say about the problem:

“Currently, each MyFamily.com site has a daily download limit. The download limit for each particular site is based on the amount of storage space purchased for the site. This download limit includes files viewed or listened to online. The following is the daily download limit for each 100 MB of storage space on a MyFamily.com site:

100 MB total download limit per day (max file size: 20 MB)
70 MB download limit per day for photos
30 MB download limit per day for file cabinet

This means that a site with 200 MB would also have twice the amount of bandwidth to use each day (140 MB for photos and 60 MB for the file cabinet). Also, MyFamily.com Email Mailboxes have a 5 MB daily download limit for any MyFamily.com Mail account.

Please note: The daily download limit is determined by Mountain Standard Time. It is reset each day at midnight Mountain Time (Eastern Time minus 2 hours).'

We currently have 1505 MB of storage space. With a video clip of over 100 MB, it does not take long for the 500 MB download capacity for files to be exceeded.

What we need is a creative solution. One solution is just to spend more money for more storage space. Hopefully there is a less expensive option. Are there other sites where we could post videos and link them to this site? Some of videographers among this august group surely have some ideas about how to fix this. Suggestions, please.
