This is neither news, nor about seaplanes. On the other hand, it's about a really cool airplane--a Spitfire--that appears to do something that many seaplane pilots would probably like to do. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OF0v1dwYC8">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OF0v1dwYC8</a><br /><br />(Whether it's believable or not is another matter entirely. I recognize the pilot from a Breitling Watch commercial.)

Clip from 'Piece of cake' or 'Deep Blue Sky' (I forget which but I think 'Piece of Cake,' British TV series.)<br /><br />Actual pilot was Ray Hannah, archetypal display pilot who died (peacefully) earlier this year. Ray Hannah was one of the original Red Arrows when they flew Foland Gnats and later was famous for his Spitfire displays both in UK and in new Zealand.
