It's a start. Now, move it back about 22 feet and that should do it.

22 feet--okay, Dennis. Maybe I'll get Deleted Member to build a model glider for it and then tow it behind the SeaRey. Otherwise I don't think the camera is going to work in that location.

Evidently its scan rate, even at 30 fps, is too slow for the prop rpm. That's what makes the prop seem to have that goofy Y shape. I ran the engine up at 4,000 rpm near the end of the video without changing the 'Y' appreciably, so I don't think it's going to get much better at 5,000 or so.

And there's the narrow viewing angle, with no hope of attaching a wide-angle lens. This one brief video gives me about all I need to be sure that the engine fairing isn't wiggling around--and that's boring enough.

Also, the camera shuts itself down when cold and vibrating (I haven't figured out why yet), so I was unable to get any video in flight. All it did was scramble the SD card's directory. Fortunately, instead of taking off I decided to do a 360 on the runup pad and check the camera. I got out and stopped the video and started another, then took off. The second is the one that got scrambled. Maybe I'll try it again on warmer day.
