For some reason I could not get this to upload in the files section.

Yesterday, I finally got someone (my 12 y/o son) to shoot some video of my plane.
Dave Lima has been whining for a video with rock music. I had a great song in mind but it didnt fit the footage I had, and I had this Weezer song stuck in my head from playing guitar hero 3 with my son.

Here it is, probably boring to most, but I do love the way the Searey looks on final approach - it looks like some alien warbird.

http://carolinaflyin.com/stuff/searey-day.wmv

And here is a smaller version (6 megs) for Bruno:

http://carolinaflyin.com/stuff/searey-day-s.wmv

Oh yeah, Dave....
When I get more footage I'll set something up that ROCKS!

Pretty cool Tony. You do a brilliant job of getting into Peeler's. I hope you were out flying today. Barbara and I brought Sammie Searey back to the lake today. Water is up enough to get her back out. Let me know if you want to do a video of some water work. I'd love to have a video of me landing in my cove and taxiing up the ramp.

Tony I hope you don't mind me getting picky, but I think all amphibious pilots should get in the habit of retracting their gear regardless of whether they are staying over land or not, it could keep you dry some day and the worst with the gear up on land is a red face.

Steve, I've actually started doing that since I have finally gotten the gear operational.
My manual gear requires some muscle and has a higher 'distraction' level, so I don't retract it until I am at a higher altitude. In this video, I was flying to a field that was one mile away. So I never did retract the gear, as soon as I took off I was in landing mode!

Dennis, No, I didn't get to fly yesterday. Cheryls car needed new brake pads, and a 40 minute job turned into a half day search for 3 wheel studs. I'm still not going to complain about her Hyundai though - 80k miles and its the first repair I had to do... so, the wheel studs suck, big deal.
I'm glad you've gotten your plane back to your house. I've been wondering if the rain we have had here lately was enough. Let me know when you want to shoot some video. Of course, a boat would be nice to have to get the shots you want.

Bruno, Yellow Bird took off shortly after me. I left that footage out of the video. I'll save it for the Yellow Bird website.

Well, Polly Pontoon is all snug in the hanger over at Laneys. I guess we could wait until this spring. Some of the neighbor's docks are great places to shoot from and they don't mind.
