2008 AIR EXPO: The 2008 Air Expo on Charleston AFB is scheduled for Saturday, 26 April 08. Along with the U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds Demonstration Team, the Army’s Golden Knights parachute team will perform daring free-fall jumps from dizzying heights during the day. Also scheduled to perform is Patty Wagstaff. A six-time member of the U.S. Aerial Aerobatic Team, Patty has won the gold, silver and bronze medals in Olympic-level international aerobatic competition and is the first woman to win the title of U.S. National Aerobatic champion and one of the few people to win it three times. Several dozen types of military aircraft will be on display and open for inspection. Food, entertainment and souvenirs will be available throughout the day. The gates open at 0800. <br /><br />Anyone planning to go should contact me as I'm stationed there and might be able to help.
