I'm watching the news right now and they are interviewing a passanger. It seems like everyone got off the plane with no problems (135 passengers).

Turn on the news. the Airbus is still floating intact in the Hudson.

Nice work by the pilot. Must have been a C hull.

I'm wondering if he had any experience in flying a seaplane, he came in just like he would have been alighting on a lake or river........in a seaplane. They had been reporting that Captain Sullenberger had a side business of involving safety. They also said he was a Fighter Pilot in the Air Force. Needless to say, being a Retired Flight Attendant for USAIRWAYS that I'm very proud of the events that happened today. Judy

With the aircraft being almost completely intact, I would presume he ditched with the gear up. Anybody know for sure?

Fred, it was reported on the news that the gear was up. I just heard on the news at 8:30 pm that the Captain is a Certified Glider Instructor, which would help greatly in gliding in the Airbus!! Judy

Regardless of the gear, those engines weren't up!
