Can anyone explain the Class D markings for Leesburg Intl (KLEE)?

The sectional says that the ceiling for the class D ring is -16.

So, what, is the airport upside down?

So,

They go through printing that message, to differentiate between 1 foot difference?
If I hadnt read what you just posted I would not think it could be.
So if it said just 16, then class D is from surface to 1,600 feet. And -16 means its class d from surface to 1, 599 feet.
Wow.
That must be a really important foot of air.

Thanks for the info Jeff!

Sort of makes you wonder if they forgot about the 5 ' or 50' from the transponder to the tail? I think these are done
to provide irrelevant test questions for exams.

From the fine folks who brought you the term 'near miss'.

'When two planes almost collide, they call it a near miss. It's a near hit. A collision is a near miss.'
George Carlin
