So I'm getting ready for dinner a few minutes ago and we feel/hear this really low pitch rumble. I told my daughter that it must be a big jet down at MacDill using afterburner but it lasted too long. So I started to walk outside to the pool when I noticed the sliding glass door is shaking. It was getting kind of creepy. Then my wife walked in and said the shuttle just launched.

I'm in Odessa, just North of Tampa Bay. It's what, 200 miles to the launch site? It may be that they flew over Florida on the climb, but I thought it was always to the East for safety. We checked the clock and it was exactly after the launch and the frequency was so low you really felt it as much as heard it.
