Ok........I've had a few glasses of wine, and I'm ready to show a movie that I did for Allegheny Airlines!!

I just started flying for Allegheny Airlines and my Supervisor asked me if I wanted to be in a movie for Allegheny Airlines. I said I would love to. I never saw the movie until at least a year later, and I saw it only once. I had to sign a waiver that I would never try to make any money off of it, which I did.

A good Flight Attendant Friend of mine sent me an e-mail about a Nostalgic movie that a friend of hers found. She didn't know that I was in the movie. I didn't look at it at first, then I opened it, and I was totally surprised to see the Allegheny Movie on youtube. There is a Part 1 and Part 2, and I was in both, although it was really just one movie.

I had my grey hat on most of the movie, and I have to admit I had a brown wig on during the filiming. I wore some wigs occasionally, and I wore a blonde wig for a while, just before I took the great Pension that USAIR offered. and I was able to retire at the age of 45 .........then because I was really getting grey, I became a blonde.

This movie was shown to all new hired people throughout the Airline, I saw it only once and never saw it again......until only a few days ago. These videos aren't the best quality, but then, they are at least 41 years old!! This is before Allegheny changed it's name to USAIR, and then USAIRWAYS.

Judy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFw4vmQIYIA&NR=1

Wow! There's Judy Bennett in a miniskirt, looking about twenty years old and very competent. Genie Trays--and no Homeland Security!

No Matt, I wish I did, it probably would be worth a fortune now. I remember we had to wear that hat, it was part of the Uniform. We were allowed to take it off only when serving the passengers. That particular Uniform had either slacks or shorts and we wore white boots with it. It was a Winter Uniform, but it did not have long sleeves, although we had a nice grey coat. We used to have totally different Uniforms in the Fall/Winter, and Spring/Summer. It seems all the Airlines today are in the basic dark blue, which I like a lot more then what we wore, and they now have well known desiginers making them. I did get a chance to wear the dark blue more Airline type of Uniform for at least 8 years or so though. It definitely looked more professional. Dave, that's the only movie I was in. I actually did the whole Announcement, but they only used one line of it. So much for my speaking part!! I was totally shocked to see that on youtube, but then it seems everything in the world shows up on youtube!! Judy

What I wonder is, where was that movie shown back then? Who would have seen it?

Mark, I'm not really sure what they intended to do with it. It eventually became a movie that was shown to all the New Hires in all Categorys of the our Airline. They may have shown it around to some of the large Companies to get more business people flying. I would have to say that it was kind of a large Ad to get more people to fly Allegheny, but then it became more of a Internal tool for people starting to work for the company. Judy
