has anyone ever flown to the sugar mill for breakfast in deleon springs? i asked a ranger when i drove there and he said it wasnt allowed but thats after asking 5 other clueless rangers. anyone ever flown in there?

Yes...it has been done many times, David (well, I've never been for BREAKFAST)...without complaint. I'm guessing the one Ranger just doesn't want you landing in the spring. If you land in the lake (Spring Garden Lake), you are not inside the state park and you're just a visiting airboat. Here is a picture of John Spratt's visit.

There is a mind-boggling array of manatee and speed restricted areas in Florida water ways. These can be found at:<br /><a href="http://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/Manatee_protectionzones.htm#Maps">http://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/Manatee_protectionzones.ht<br>m#Maps</a><br />I've landed many times in 30 mph restricted buffer zones but haven't stayed long enough for anyone to approach me. Just be reasonably careful and keep an eye out for approaching vessels.

Ah yes Deleon Springs a delightful Seaplane destination. No restrictions pretend you are an airboat. I have been there at least four or five times, call me, i will fill you in.....
