Now that we have Bowdens, Tavares, and Garners under our belts, we can now focus on the Sun n Fun Splash in at Lake Agnes! The event is Thursday, April 15th. Lake Agnes is Located at Fantasy of Flight (in Auburndale?). Last year over 100 seaplanes and amphibs attended. I have attached the Schedule for Thursday. If anyone has any extra info, please post. Anyone know the unicom for Lake Agnes? There is plenty of beach for the non amphibs, and a huge ramp with a very large parking lot for the amphibs. See you there. Im sure we will have a flight departing around 9am-we will let Dr. Mendelson coordinate that. Catch us on Gator 123.375 on the way down if you are flying in. Attachments:

    There is a notam, Daniel, that specifies 122.9 ('All aircraft must be radio equipped and the pilot must monitor and communicate on 122.9').

Other notam items include:
- enter pattern at 1000 AGL with a left pattern when landing to the north and right pattern to the south;
- avoid over flying the residential area on the west side of Lake Agnes;
- absolutely no landing on the grass strip.
And, as always, the published notam can change so check it before you go.

    The Sun-n-Fun NOTAM cheetsheet with 42 pages on www.sun-n-fun.org tells it all. The pertinent info is on page 29. It also has the info for Paradise City UL/LSA arrival for all the other days of the flyin. Don't forget the TFR for the SHUTTLE! Its 30nm around KTTS for those arriving from KSFB starting at 1300hrs local

    There's a no-fly time between 1:30 and 2:00. Also, there is a ground/ramp frequency which is 122.85.

    Apparently obama's going to be in town on Thursday...anyone have any ideas on what effect this might
have on us for the splash-in?

    How many folks will get snagged by the no fly zone going to SNF?
Wonder if they will shut down the air shows.

    Funny, I just logged on to post the same thing. I just saw on the news that he will be speaking at KSC at 1pm. I will call Barack later on his mobile and see what his plans are...

    I think I am going to head out there at like 8am...its going to be a breezy day and want to get good parking and beat the wind

    Weather Bug is forcasting 10 to 20 mph winds tomorrow. Heading out early to try to beat the winds is a good idea.

    I think our fearless leader Phil will be traveling in his Moooooney tomorrow, so I guess I will coordinate any formation flying. I plan on leaving my lake in Altamonte Springs at 0815 at the latest. If any anyone is coming from the North or East ie Joe Friend or Joe Becker, try to meet around my place at 0815. We will move east towards Apopka and pick up any friends on Lake Brantley or Apopka and head south...see you guys tomorrow
