Just saw a searey on the CBS golf coverage in Hilton Head. Nice!

I saw it too, Verizon heritage Golf. The Searey was the best part and overhead shots from the Met Life Blimp. I didn't like the comment from the TV announcer about not having enough room in the Searey for your coat.

Jeff Arnold and Kevin D'Angelo will tell you all about it, probably today. It's a good SeaRey story--a grand adventure! In the meantime, if anyone can record a re-run of it, I'm sure they'll be grateful.

After Jeff and I removed our stuck in the mud planes form the beach of Hilton head I taxied around the other side of the pier to get to smoother water- couldn't figure out what all the comotion was on shore as we were so preoccupied getting the planes out- we didn't realize that we were right in the middle of the media freenzie for the PGA Golf event. The bay was littered with boats and more important police that I was trying to avoid and alighted as soon as I had a clear shot. Didn't realize that we were filmed till I called my Mother at the next fuel stop and she told me they had seen me on TV.
Later the next day I was landing in Pennsylvania for fuel and a plane waiting to take off called out on the unicom and said aren't you the guy on TV. It seems my plane is getting a little too much exposure in the media. I won't be able to get away with anything anymore.
It was quite the flight home with following the coast just off the beach from St Augustine to Hilton Head and splashing lakes the rest of the way home to Buffalo. This Sun n Fun trip put 34 hours on the Rey and many stories to tell my kids thanks to Jeff Arnold

Thanks to Jeff Arnold? Thanks for the lunch spot with mud to get stuck in? Thanks for the fuel stop that ran out of Premium? But.....all in all a grand Searey adventure flying with you Kevin. As I think back on it, I keep hearing your voice 'I see a splash' And thanks to you for my first ocean touch down. It was also wonderful to meet your family and thanks to them for their gracious hospitality.

I have a recording of Kevin on the PGA tour. Couldn't get it last night because Laura was watching the Country Music Awards, but I should be able to transfer it to my computer tonight and post the Searey segment.
